Eligibility Criteria – HAL Recruitment 2025

Educational Qualification

  • Engineering Graduate Apprentices: 4-year B.E./B.Tech./B.Pharm degree in the respective discipline from a recognized university, passed in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025.
  • Diploma Apprentices: 3-year Diploma in the respective discipline approved by the State Board of Technical Education & AICTE, or a government-approved Diploma in Medical Lab Technician (minimum 1-year duration), passed in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025.
  • Non-Technical Graduate Apprentices: 3/4-year degree in the respective discipline (BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, Hotel Management, B.Sc Nursing) from a recognized university, passed in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025.
  • Note: Candidates with “Appearing” or “Result Awaited” status, pending back papers, or awaiting supplementary exam results are not eligible.

Age Limit

  • As per the Apprentices Act, 1961.
  • Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwD/EWS candidates as per government norms:
    • SC: 10% reservation
    • ST: 9% reservation
    • OBC (NCL): 27% reservation
    • PwD: 4% reservation (minimum 40% disability)
    • EWS: 10% reservation (valid income and asset certificate required).

Additional Notes

  • Candidates who have completed or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training elsewhere are not eligible.
  • Candidates must be Indian nationals.
  • Candidates with more than one year of work experience are not eligible.

Selection Process

The selection process is merit-based and involves:

  1. Merit List Preparation: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks secured in their Degree/Diploma examinations. For percentage or CGPA-to-percentage conversion, university norms will apply.
  2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must attend the walk-in interview for physical document verification. Only original documents will be verified; photocopies will not be accepted.
  3. Final Selection: Based on successful verification of documents, medical fitness, and police verification.
