NIT Silchar Recruitment 2025 – 33 Posts – Applications are invited from aspiring candidates of Assam only for Graduate Apprentice (Engineering/Non-Engineering)/Technician Apprentice (Diploma) Training in various Disciplines for a period of 1 year as per the details below:

Technician Apprentice (Diploma): 17 posts (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Computer Science & Engineering)

Total Vacancies: 33 posts
Selected apprentices will receive training at NIT Silchar’s campus in Assam and earn a monthly stipend of ₹9,000 for Graduate Apprentices and ₹8,000 for Technician Apprentices. This program is designed to provide practical exposure without any assurance of permanent employment post-training.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualifications

Graduate Apprentice (Engineering): A B.E./B.Tech degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Computer Science & Engineering) from a statutory university or an institution empowered to award such degrees by an Act of Parliament. Graduate examination of professional bodies recognized by the Central Government as equivalent to a degree is also acceptable.

Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering): A Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc./B.A) in a relevant field from a statutory university or an institution recognized by the State or Central Government.

Technician Apprentice (Diploma): A Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Computer Science & Engineering) from a State Council, Board of Technical Education, or a recognized university/institute.
Note:

Candidates who completed their degree/diploma between 2020 and 2024 are eligible.

Candidates who completed their qualifications after the application submission date or have results pending as of the advertisement date are ineligible.

Candidates with higher qualifications or more than one year of work experience are not eligible.

Only candidates who completed their qualifying examination as regular students are eligible.
2. Age Limit

Typically, 18 to 30 years as of 01.07.2025, as per Apprenticeship Rules.

3. Other Requirements

Candidates must be registered on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal (www.mhrdnats.gov.in).

Candidates who have previously undergone apprenticeship training or are currently undergoing such training are ineligible.
Stipend Structure

Graduate Apprentice (Engineering/Non-Engineering): ₹9,000 per month

Technician Apprentice (Diploma): ₹8,000 per month
The stipend is governed by the Apprenticeship Act, and no additional allowances are provided.
Selection Process
The selection for NIT Silchar Recruitment 2025 Apprenticeship is merit-based and includes the following steps:
