Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualifications

• Technical Assistant: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines from a recognized university:

• • Botany
  • Zoology
  • Agriculture
  • Forestry
  • Biotechnology
  • Chemistry
  • Environmental Science
  • Statistics

• Forest Guard:

  • Must have passed 12th standard with Science from a recognized board.

  • Selected candidates are required to successfully complete a Forestry Training Course from a recognized Forest Guard training institution during the probation period.

• Driver (Ordinary Grade):

• • Must have passed Matriculation (10th standard) from a recognized board.
  • Must possess a valid driving license for light and heavy vehicles.
  • Should have at least 3 years of driving experience.
  • Knowledge of motor mechanisms is preferred.

2. Age Limit (as on 01.07.2025)

• Technical Assistant: 21 to 30 years

• Forest Guard & Driver: 18 to 27 years

• Age Relaxation:

• • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC-NCL: 3 years
  • PwBD: Up to 15 years (as per government norms)

3. Physical and Medical Standards

• Forest Guard: Candidates must clear a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and meet specific medical standards, including the ability to walk long distances and meet physical measurement criteria.

• Driver: Candidates must qualify a practical driving test to demonstrate their driving skills.

Salary Structure

• Technical Assistant: Pay Level-5 of the 7th CPC (approximately ₹29,200 – ₹92,300)

• Forest Guard & Driver: Pay Level-2 of the 7th CPC (approximately ₹19,900 – ₹63,200)

Salaries include admissible allowances as per government norms, making these positions financially rewarding.

Selection Process

The selection process for TFRI Recruitment 2025 involves multiple stages, ensuring a fair and thorough evaluation of candidates:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT):

   • Technical Assistant: 180-minute exam with 100 multiple-choice questions covering General Awareness, Reasoning, Science, Math, and subject-specific knowledge.

   • Forest Guard: 120-minute exam with 100 multiple-choice questions focusing on General Awareness, Reasoning, Science, and English.

   • Driver: 120-minute exam with 100 multiple-choice questions on English, Reasoning, Aptitude, and Traffic Awareness.

2. Skill/Trade Test:

   • Forest Guard: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Standards Test.

   • Driver: Practical Driving Test.

3. Document Verification: Candidates who qualify the CBT and Skill/Trade Test will undergo document verification to confirm eligibility.

4. Interview (if applicable): Depending on the post, an interview may be conducted.

The final selection will be based on the merit of the written exam, subject to qualifying the skill/trade test and document verification.
