Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) invites online applications for 6180 permanent posts of Technician Gr I/III. Eligible and interested candidates may apply before the Last Date.

Technician Grade III: 6,000 posts (across multiple trades)

Key Dates for RRB Technician Recruitment 2025

Short Notification Release: June 16, 2025
Detailed Notification (CEN 02/2025) Release: Expected by June 27, 2025
Online Application Window: June 28, 2025, to July 28, 2025 (11:59 PM)
Computer-Based Test (CBT): Dates to be announced
Document Verification & Medical Examination: To be scheduled post-CBT results

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the RRB Technician Recruitment 2025, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:

1. Nationality

Open to all Indian citizens who meet the educational and age criteria.
No specific nationality restrictions are mentioned, but candidates must comply with standard government recruitment norms.

2. Age Limit (as of July 1, 2025)

Technician Grade I (Signal): 18 to 33 years
Technician Grade III: 18 to 30 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwD, Ex-Servicemen, and other categories: As per government norms.

3. Educational Qualification

Technician Grade I (Signal):
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Instrumentation, or
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering in relevant disciplines (e.g., Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Science).
Technician Grade III:
- Matriculation/SSLC (Class 10) plus ITI certificate from NCVT/SCVT in trades such as Foundryman, Moulder, Pattern Maker, Forger and Heat Treater, or other relevant trades, or
- Matriculation/SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in relevant trades.

4. Medical Standards

Technician Grade I (Signal): Medical standard B-1 (specific vision and physical fitness requirements).
Technician Grade III: Medical standards to be detailed in the official notification.
Candidates must pass a medical fitness test conducted by the Railway Administration.

Salary and Benefits

Technician Grade I (Signal): Pay Level 5, initial salary of ₹29,200 per month.
Technician Grade III: Pay Level 2, initial salary of ₹19,900 per month.
Additional allowances and benefits as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) guidelines, including Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and medical benefits.
