Expected Salary Changes:
- Minimum Basic Pay:
- Current (7th CPC): ₹18,000
- Expected (8th CPC): ₹26,000 – ₹30,000 (estimated 40-50% hike)
- Fitment Factor:
- Likely to be 2.5 to 3 times the existing basic pay.
- Example: If your current basic pay is ₹30,000, the new pay could be:
₹30,000 × 2.8 = ₹84,000 (estimated new basic pay)
- Pay Matrix Revision:
- New pay levels will be introduced based on a higher fitment factor.
- Projected basic pay for different levels could range from ₹26,000 (entry-level) to ₹2.5 lakh (senior-level officers).
