Eligibility Criteria

  • Ph.D. in relevant/allied discipline
  • Minimum 10 years teaching/research experience
  • Minimum 10 publications in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals
  • Total research score of 120 (as per Appendix criteria) OR outstanding professional with Ph.D. and 10 years experience
• Associate Professor
  • Ph.D. in relevant discipline
  • Master’s with 55% marks
  • Minimum 8 years experience equivalent to Assistant Professor
  • Minimum 7 publications
  • Total research score of 75
• Assistant Professor
  • Master’s degree with 55% marks in relevant subject
  • NET/SLET/SET qualification OR Ph.D. as per UGC norms
  • Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/PwD/OBC (non-creamy)/differently-abled candidates

Age Limit (primarily for Assistant Professor): Upper age 40 years (as on 1st January of advertisement year), relaxable 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC.

Pay Scale / Salary

Selected candidates will receive UGC-recommended pay levels with protection of pay as per West Bengal G.O. No. 951(21)-Edn(U)/1U-87/16 dated 26.08.2019:

• Professor: Level 14 (₹1,44,200 – ₹2,18,200)
• Associate Professor: Level 13A (₹1,31,400 – ₹2,17,100)
• Assistant Professor: Level 10 (₹57,700 – ₹1,82,400)
