Eligibility Criteria for NMDC Recruitment 2026
Candidates must meet the following requirements as of the last date of application (17 February 2026). All qualifications should be from UGC/AICTE/DGMS/Government-recognized institutions.
Educational Qualifications
- Shift Manager (CE-07): Degree in Mining Engineering with 1st Class Mines Manager Certificate (Coal).
- Welfare Officer (CE-06): Degree + MBA (HR) or PG Diploma in Social Science/Labour Welfare/Personnel Management (recognized for Mines Welfare Officer).
- Assistant Shift In-charge (CE-06): Degree in Mining Engineering with 2nd Class Mines Manager Certificate (Coal).
- Assistant Colliery Engineer (Electrical) (CE-06): Degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Assistant Colliery Engineer (Mechanical) (CE-06): Degree in Mechanical or Mining Machinery Engineering.
- Assistant Safety Officer (CE-06): Degree in Mining Engineering with 2nd Class Mines Manager Certificate (Coal).
- Overman Coal (All Categories) (CE-04): Diploma in Mining Engineering/Mining & Mine Surveying with Overman Certificate of Competency (Coal) under CMR by DGMS + Valid First Aid Certificate.
Experience Requirements
Minimum post-qualification experience in relevant fields (preferably in open-cast coal mines):
- CE-07 Posts: 7 years (including 3 years after 1st Class Certificate).
- CE-06 Posts: 4 years.
- CE-04 Posts: 5 years in statutory capacity. Desirable: Experience in greenfield projects, safety inspections, electrical substations, or heavy machinery maintenance.
Age Limit (as on 17/02/2026)
- CE-07: Up to 60 years.
- CE-06 & CE-04: Up to 50 years. Relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), and as per rules for PwBD/Ex-Servicemen.
Salary and Benefits
Consolidated monthly pay:
- CE-07: Rs. 1,00,000/-
- CE-06: Rs. 80,000/-
- CE-04: Rs. 60,000/- Additional perks: Up to 5% annual increment based on performance, HRA, medical expenses (Rs. 35,000/year), group insurance, TA/DA for official tours, 12 days Casual Leave + 20 days Medical Leave per year.
