Age Limit (as on 06 April 2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age for UR/EWS: 30 years
- Age Relaxation:
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer – Central List): 3 years
- SC/ST: 5 years
- PwBD (for Translator & Technician posts): 10 years (UR), 13 years (OBC-NCL), 15 years (SC/ST)
- Ex-Servicemen: Length of service rendered in Defence + 3 years
- Employees of CIL & its Subsidiaries (Departmental candidates): No upper age limit
- Overall maximum age in any case should not exceed 56 years (except departmental candidates)
Educational Qualification & Essential Requirements
- Jr. Overman T&S Gr-C: 3-year Diploma / Degree in Mining Engineering + Valid Overman’s Competency Certificate (Un-Restricted) issued by DGMS + Valid Gas Testing Certificate + Valid First Aid Certificate
- Mining Sirdar T&S Gr-C: Matriculation / Equivalent OR Diploma / Degree in Mining + Valid Mining Sirdarship Certificate (Un-Restricted) issued by DGMS + Valid Gas Testing Certificate + Valid First Aid Certificate
- Surveyor T&S Gr-B: Matriculation / Equivalent OR Diploma / Degree in Mining / Mine Surveying + Valid Surveyor’s Certificate (Un-Restricted) issued by DGMS
- Translator (Tr.) OL Clerical Gr. III: Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or equivalent) with Hindi and English as subjects (Government-recognized Diploma in Hindi Translation is desirable)
- Technician (Pathology) Tr. T&S Gr-C: Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology / Pathology from a recognized institute
All technical competency certificates must be valid as per current Coal Mines Regulations, 2017.
Pay Scale (as per NCWA-XI)
- Jr. Overman, Mining Sirdar, Technician (Pathology): Rs. 47,330.25 per month
- Surveyor: Rs. 51,103.12 per month
- Translator: Rs. 41,966.51 per month Plus Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, medical facilities and other allowances as per company rules.
