NTPC Limited has announced its recruitment drive for Engineering Executive Trainees (EET) for the year 2024 through GATE-2024, under Advertisement No. 19/23. The recruitment is open for the following engineering disciplines:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Instrumentation Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Mining Engineering
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have a full-time bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology in the respective disciplines with at least 65% marks.
- Final year/semester students are also eligible to apply, provided they obtain at least 65% marks upon completion of their degree.
- Age Limit:
- The upper age limit is 27 years as of the last date of online application.
- Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
- GATE-2024:
- Candidates must have appeared for the GATE-2024 examination in the relevant disciplines.
- The GATE registration number is mandatory for applying to this recruitment.
Application Process:
- Online Registration:
- Interested candidates need to apply online through the NTPC careers portal.
- The application process involves two stages:
- Registration using the GATE-2024 registration number.
- Filling in personal, educational, and other required details.
- Application Fee:
- General/EWS/OBC candidates: ₹300
- SC/ST/PwBD/XSM candidates: Exempted

Selection Process:
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on their GATE-2024 performance.
- Shortlisted candidates will undergo further selection processes, which may include group discussions and personal interviews.
Emoluments and Placement:
- Selected candidates will undergo one year of training.
- During the training period, they will receive a consolidated stipend.
- Upon successful completion of training, candidates will be absorbed in the pay scale of ₹50,000 – ₹1,60,000.
