Indian Engineering Services Examination 2024 – Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is conducting Engineering Services Examination 2024 for which applications are invited. All candidates (male/female/transgender) are requested to carefully read the Rules of Engineering Services Examination notified by the Government (Ministry of Communications, Department of Telecommunications) and the Notice of Examination derived from these Rules. The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfil all eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. Their admission at all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.

1.Indian Engineering Services Examination 2024

Candidates are required to apply Online only by using the website www.upsconline.nic.in. . It is essential for the applicant to register himself/herself first at One Time Registration (OTR) platform, available on the Commission’s website, and then proceed for filling up the online application for the examination. OTR has to be registered only once in life time. This can be done anytime throughout the year. If the candidate is already registered, he/she can proceed straightway for filling up the online application for the examination. 3.Indian Engineering Services Examination 2024 Eligibility 

Candidate must hold a degree in Engineering/Technology (BE/B. Tech) or its equivalent in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & telecommunication discipline from an approved government Institution/University.

4.Indian Engineering Services Examination 2024 Age limit

The age limit of applicants to apply for UPSC ESE 2024 should be as follows. The age limit of candidates will be calculated as on 01 January 2024:

  • Minimum Age Limit: 21 Years
  • Maximum Age Limit: 30 Years

The relaxation in the upper age limit for reserved categories will be applicable as per the Govt. Norms prescribed here.

  • OBC – 3 Years
  • SC/ST – 5 Years
  • ECOs/ SSCOs – 5 Years
  • Domicile of Jammu and Kashmir – 5 Years
  • Ex-Serviceman – 5 Years
  • Physically Handicapped – 10 Years.

5.Indian Engineering Services Examination 2024 Application Fee

  • UR/ OBC/ EWS – ₹ 200/-
  • SC/ ST/ Ex Serviceman/ PWD/ Female – Exempted.

6.How to Apply for Indian Engineering Services Examination 2024 – Step by Step Process

To apply online for UPSC ESE 2024, candidates need to follow the following steps given below:

  • Step 1 – Visit the UPSC official website of UPSC i.e. www.upsc.gov.in
  • Step 2 – Go to the What’s New section on the home page and click on the ‘Indian Engineering Services Examination 2024’ link.
  • Step 3 – A new window will be opened on the screen with the ESE Notification 2024.
  • Step 4 – Download the UPSC ESE Notification 2024 PDF and read it carefully. Advertisement PDF Download
  • Step 5 – Now, Click on the ‘New Registration’ tab, to complete your One Time Registration (OTR).
  • Step 6 – Enter all the essential details and upload the required documents (photograph, signature, etc.) in the prescribed format and size.
  • Step 7 – Go for online payment of application fees. After paying the application fees, click on the final submit button.
  • Step 8 – Take a printout of the application form for future reference.
